Still Life with Grape Vine

"Still Life with Grape Vine"

39" x 27"

Watercolor on Paper

This is my latest watercolor painting. Because of its size, I've been working on it for quite some time. It will make its debut at the Leeper Park Art Fair this weekend.  Hope you like it!

Leeper Park
Michigan Street between Memorial Hospital and the St. Joseph River
South Bend, Indiana
Saturday, 10-6 - Sunday, 10-5

    • Thank you Dianne!  I'm so glad you like it...I'm so glad it's done!!!  Working that large is quite the undertaking.

  • I got to kneel at the alter of "Still Life with Grape Vine" yesterday in South Bend. I do declare, it was more beautiful in person, than even her excellent photo portrayed. The grand scale of this piece showcases Jacqueline's expertise in subject matter, composition, color choices and technical skill. I was in her booth as many people walked in and gasped at her work. We are SO fortunate to be recipients of her gifts online. She is one of our country's modern masters.
    • You are too kind Carol! It was so nice of you to come all that way to see me. I love meeting the members in person. Best to you!
  • Fantastic! Contemporary Baroque style masterpiece! So elegant and full of light! Wspaniały!

    • I do love the light too.  I think the lighting in a painting can make or break it.  Dziękuję za miłe słowa...

  • All I can say is 'WOW !!!".  Vibrant colors, soft shadows and masterful use of white paper.....and on an enormous scale!  I push myself to work on 1/4 to 1/2 sheet size.  This is truly a 'show stopper' and can't wait to see what awards this will win.  Jackie....you're the BEST!

    • You're so sweet Pat, thank you so much.  I've been working on this piece for 3 to 4 months....glad it's finally done.  And proud of the result.

  • Like it? Love it!! Every detail is perfect! The Light is stunning. I really wishes I could see this piece in person!  Not enough words to discribe this beauty! Hugs!

    • Thank you Yvonne.  I always appreciate your kind words...hugs.

  • Wow - Jacqueline!!  You are so very talented.  This is absolutely stunning and I love it!!  What an amazing piece of art - I just can't stop looking at it.  Am sure this is going to cause quite a stir at the Art Fair.  Will be thinking of you this weekend. Thanks so much for posting.

p.s. for a minute I thought this was the larger still-life lesson you were asking our view on the other day!  Now that would have been scary!
